Turkey Map was never compatible with ProMods.

It's compatible now. Someone made a fix for connection Turkey map.
You can find it in Google by searching "promods turkey map 1.30".

And do we know whether it is a licensed (legit) connection fix, or an unlicensed (illegit) fork?

I have a strange glitch on the other hand. Everything works fine, I use Promods with Rusmap, project balkans and Southern region but once I go to Italy, all traffic signs, city names etc vanish, I see signs that should contain a text - blank, however when I disable sothern region, the text appears again on the signs. IT doesn't seems to be a game breaking glitch but it isn't realistic
