my steam auto updated to this version grr, is there any issues with pro mods and this version at the moment?

Yes, ProMods v2.17 is not compatible with the new updated v1.28 version of ETS2. The Comptabililty version v2.18 of ProMods will come soon to solve this problem.

i'm pretty sure you cant opt into 1.27 via properties and under betas.

you can downgrade game to 1,27.. choose BETAS tab on properties and choose 1.27 for incompatible mods

Just disable participation to betas and continue playing on 1.27

No you have to downgrade due to the Release of 1.28 now

The new update has been released so, opting out of betas will not make any changes, you would need to go to your betas tab under the properties for ets2 and select "temporary_1_27-1.27.x for incompatible mods" to stay on 1.27, just tried it now

I'm like a kid on Christmas Eve for both 2.18 and 2.20 now that 1.28 is released.

Promods 2.18 is out, so it will be supported on 1.28.
Anyway don't expect all other mods will be supported right after 1.28 update did come out.
Take patience to some days later and it will be OK.
