I broke the speed limit on about 90% of my lap. I only had to really slow down for the really sharp corners and virtually all the roundabouts. Using the whole road width really helps keep speed up in some areas too.

There's a corner on the mountain range east of Akureyri that's particularly viscous, as is the one immediately after Vìk.

There's one that doubles in on itself too, that one sucks.
Curry?! My manual doesn't have any data on curry... What's the meaning of this...?!

I got a top speed of 30 kph in that icy bit. And I've got 6x4, 750 hp and a manual gearbox.

Loaded or unloaded? Unloaded, I managed to run at 100 kph

Unloaded. And I'm surprised with your speed. I can get it to go faster past 8th gear.

The trick with ice is using the highest gear posible. The lowest gear you use, the more speed you lose due to the lack of traction.

So I just start with 12th and leave it there? Because every since the last visit to Iceland I also found out that the higher gear I use, the less the wheels spin and the more gently the power comes.

I'd have to try it again myself, and it would depend on your load, but from zero, if you can start fron 6th-7th gear, do it. Don't let it get many revolutions (green zone maybe?)

On the icy road, I found that the auto gearbox was near enough useless; I crawled almost to a halt. After switching to a manual sequential gearbox I eventually managed to get up to 90kph (750hp 6x2).

With regard to roundabouts.. you don't need to necessarily slow down to below the speedlimit for ALL of them; I launched myself over a couple of them, which was exhilarating right up until my force feedback kicked in upon landing ;)

Yep, automatic gearboxes aren't good for this.

I wouldn't fly over them though, otherwise it might flip over.

Don't fly over them. Purno usually sets an invisible wall to avoid this.
