I hope that the big cities are updated some day. Helsinki, Turku and Tampere are right now using only the super underwhelming vanilla cities. When driving near Helsinki, it feels like most of the city is completely missing. Also, Näsinneula, the symbol of Tampere and their biggest landmark, is missing.

The reason for this is simple: most depots in Finland are in areas of relatively low density due to them being modeled after real life locations. Only one depot is actually in downtown (Länsisatama). The rest are in Espoo (IKEA Lommila), Vantaa (airport) and Vuosaari (container port etc) along Kehä III. I guess real life trucking is more underwhelming than some people expect.

Näsinneula is not visible from anywhere on the route 3/9 bypass motorway. ProMods could maybe bring in route 12 which might change this, but even then it's not guaranteed.

It would be nice to have new places in Finland,i do agree with that.
Like for example Näsinneula in Tampere and other places for example Jätkäsaari in Helsinki would be nice to have in the Ets2,
but if i am not complitely wrong all new places like land marks,would need to have models done of them to the game from the scratch.
So that would take time,because many places,that me and other people would like in the game are not available,before somebody makes them.

Näsinneula in Tampere, that is visible IRL from the Rajasamli bridges. So why not ingame too, someday?

Indeed it does, I stand corrected! SCS even modeled the city visible from the bridge which can be clearly seen at night, but I suppose the resolution is so low that modeling Näsinneula may not have been feasible.

As for Jätkäsaari, the initial road leading to the ferry terminal (Tyynenmerenkatu) is a bit more built up and dense these days which ProMods could do an update on.

You are right the ferry port in Helsinki is in Jätkäsaari,i do recognize the area.
I have been there many times,but of course in the real life the ferry port is bigger and there are more ferry ports in Helsinki and not only Jätkäsaari ferry port.
For example etelä satama(south port),länsi satama(west port) or Vuosaari.
Vuosaari is also in the game after the kehä 3(ring 3)roads tunnel.
I do agree,that Promods could do more for the area of Helsinki.

Vuosaari port, that should be possible, expanding it, for a ferry.
Länsisatama is the port on Jätkäsaari.
Eteläsatama, there is zero space for it.

Hello / Päivää,

After approx. 1,5 year of inactivity finally I got new laptop, which can handle map editor and returned to mapping.
I will continue develop Finland, and this time I made last missing city in Lapland region - Pello and completed this area by entending Vt21 / E8, and connecting roads Kt80, Kt83 (except of Kilpisjärvi - this could be made, when nothern Norway will get new areas). Of course, Pello will added in upcoming ProMods 2.60 release.
