Glad to hear that there's a thought!
Hopefully the suitable candidate for its development will be found asap

Hey Roadhouse folks,
So, during the SCS Christmas stream, there were words about the upcoming DirectX 11 support, which is supposed to come out sometime this year. I remember Pavel telling Squirrel a couple years ago that this wouldn't mean any performance improvements at first, but would lay the groundwork for additional tech improvements to come later.
Two questions here:
1. What do you think, when will this tech update be shipped?
2. How much work ProMods will need to adapt to the new API? Do you think there'll be a need to modify any assets (*.mats, textures, etc.) to make the mod compatible with the new renderer?

Just out of interest.
With SCS that released Sardinia in release 1.35, have you thought about mapping Corsica?

There were some rumours saying that Corsica was also under development by SCS, but I don't know if it's true.

Maybe sometime in the future, but just from looking at the road layout on Google Maps, it looks like a challenging place to drive in.

I would first like to thank everyone who have given freely so others would enjoy so much. I am a old man and I am stuck with version ets2 1.16.2 because my machine like me is so old xp steam won't even let me join because so old. But I was wondering if trucksim map5.4 is stolen because promods map which I have is great but does not cover as much territory as that map and because my map is old there will never be an update. Newer is nice but some cannot pay for new. Can someone help us stuck in time with some new roads or do we always have to start new games just to change scenery. Just asking never harm in asking. Thank you.
Arthur there is no reason why you can't stay with the versions that you have right now if that is what you are happy with, but this game has now been developing for more than 7 years and so not only the game but also the modding community has come a very long way. The only way to enjoy the latest is by keeping up to date with the hardware and software
