How the economy works here?

Hello everyone,
I'd like to ask you all. When I buy the truck for my employee, does the quality of that truck effect economy? I mean... if when I buy the cheapest truck which is there (some basic Renault I guess), does it impact on the time lenght of journey, income from the order, fuel consumption and so on... or the AI just doesn't take care of it?
