Inspection-hall at letvian-russian border won't let me exit after inspection

Hi, I just tried to cross the Letvian-Russian border between Rekekne and Newel. The procedure dictates that I should enter an inspection-hall. So I enter, switch off the engine, the inspection is conducted after which I get the message that I can continue on my journey. But when I try to leave the hall, the gate won't budge. All I can do is to reverse out of the hall, which results in me being fined 2000 € for illegal border-violation.
Anything I might have missed, or is this a genuine bug?
