Ets2 to a real trucker!

Hi all

After playing ets2 for years I've always had a passion for trucks! I never really did my HGV because I didn't like the idea being away from home. With the covid pandemic it gave me the push for a career change from a taxi driver to a HGV driver! Taken me from December 2020 till October 2021 to get my class 1 with the set backs with lockdown etc.

I am now in full-time employment with a company and have my own truck (sleep out once a week) it's a DAF XF 480 just standard nothing fancy but it's new! I would say ets2 had a small percentage in making my choice as I do love this game! I would say the game has helped me with the knowledge of knowing my mid lift and retarder. As you can imaging I am loving my job the now as am still getting a buzz driving these trucks!

I have started a youtube channel of video footage of some of the runs I do up north (Scotland) Thurso/Aberdeen/Inverness/Fort William/Oban/Campbell Town ect the scenery is breath taken and the roads amazing!

Great to hear, and sounds like you’ve hit the jackpot with regular runs up north. If there’s any more vacancies let me know! We’ve just been given new LNG powered Volvo FHs and can no longer run to Scotland due to their limited range
