Thanks! Sometimes I feel like writing, sometimes not. On many days it's the only communication I have with someone outside my family.

Today we're taking a longer trip from Bratislava and Trnava up through NW Slovakia and then over the border to Krakow in Poland.


Leaving the garage.




Great to see a sign with a ton of places on it and realise you can visit all of them in-game. Indeed, we will be visiting all of them during this tour.


Pulling up to a farm north of Trnava to pick up the cargo.


Trnava. Identical twins with identical jobs who married identical twins, taking a call at identical times...






Now heading northeast - destination Ruzombarok.




You kidding me?! Get out of the road, man!


Mountainous region.




Ruzombarok, near Banska Bystrica. Now to turn North, for Poland.




Great castle there!








Polish border. Now it's a short hop to Krakow. Again, we won't be spending time there, saving that for the Poland tour.






Good job we didn't want to go to Bielska Biala, then.




Must be getting close to Krakow.

Today's trip will take us to Czech and Polish Silesia, starting in Ostrava!!! and taking in both Katowice and Bielska Biala.


Just leaving Ostrava.

Into Poland again.




Silesia is known for its coal mines, steelworks too.


Here's Katowice.




Leaving town. Plenty of police in evidence in Poland.


This one is checking out a suspiciously parked Transit.


En route to Bielska Biala. Apparently it was made by joining two towns, rather like Buda and Pest, on each side of the Biala (White) River. Both towns were called White after the river, so now the combined city is White-White.




Arriving in BB.

Now heading back towards Czech Silesia.


Castorama in Cieszyn. Didn't they sing "Love in the First Degree"?

I guess this is Český Těšin. Ostrava lies ahead.

Today we travel from Brno in south Moravia up through the Czech Republic to the Polish border and on to Wroclaw.


But first, just two shots finishing off the last trip in Ostrava.




Morning in Brno.


Picking up the cargo at good ol' Eddie Stobart's.


The cargo looks like someone was challenged to create the rustiest object in existence, and gave it their all.




Leaving Brno behind us, and heading out into the Czech countryside.




That looks like Brno's cathedral. I was wondering what was missing from the skyline when we were in Brno - could the mapper have mistakenly placed it so it is invisible from inside Brno? A bit strange.




Idyllic scenes abound as we head north towards Poland.






Higher ground - must be nearing the border.


And here it is.


Poland offers new sights once again.










After some very nice country roads we finally arrive at Wroclaw.




That's the end for now. So tired today, got to get some sleep!!

This set - a final journey over the border to Poland, this time from Prague.


Came to the Prague garage early in the morning and found another truck being worked on in there. It's not one of mine, and I have no idea where it came from. I wonder if SCS has finally updated garages to make them more alive... ??


Drove to Mlada Boleslav to pick up a car transporter trailer. Delivering for Skoda today, so decided to represent by sellotaping the Skoda symbol to the roof of the cab.


Damn. Should have used duct tape.




Soon we were at the Polish border.


Sharp-intake-of-breath-through-pursed-lips time.


Hilly Polish countryside on the way to Zgorzelec.


Poland's not all flat. Just 95% of it.


T-junction. Do you go left to Zgorzelec? If so, turn to page 137.
Do you go right and back to the Czech Republic? Then turn to page 245.








Zgorzelec. Not planning to include it in the Poland tour because I visited it 3 years ago and it seems the same. So, here are a few snaps.












Went back to Prague by the longer, different, page 245 route.




It was quite scenic too.


Back in Prague. The Czech Republic, and specifically the largest part known as Bohemia, with the capital city at its centre, also has a long border with Germany. We're going to make a couple of journeys across it, and see how the Germany rebuild is looking in the vicinity of the area we're touring.


Super early start as we began our trip to Dresden and Chemnitz.


Stopped off here for a black coffee and a pastry that looked more tired than I was.


It's the famous DNA bridge. Actually, not sure if it is famous, or even exists, but it's cool anyway. Still in the Czech Republic.

This time we're having a little outing to Germany from Prague.


Heading to the border with Germany - border post just visible at the end of the bridge.


Now we're in Saxony.


This is Dresden.




We're just passing through.


Out of Dresden, destination Chemnitz.






Another accident. As always, I'm going straight through.


No yeetage of ambulances took place this time.


Onward, ever onward.








Arriving in Chemnitz. Oh! How did that get in my bag? I have no idea, Mr Store Detective, Sir.


The drop-off point is just along here.

Heading back for Prague, no cargo this time.








Back in the Czech Republic.




Prague on the horizon, in all its many-splendoured glory. This little foray into Germany has been a pleasant one. We'll try it one more time in the next post.

Alright then, one last trip from Prague today, into Germany again, to visit Nuremburg/Wurth, and experience the revamped German road network and some nice Czech countryside.


New paintjob, very snazzy.


And the CoolLiner paintjob. Superb. I took these shots the day this was released, which shows how far behind I am with posting.


Let's get shackled up, and on the road.


Farewell Prague. I don't think we'll be meeting again for a while.

I forgot to mention earlier that almost all the sets in this thread - except the first three, which were with \m/(​><)\m/ Brütal Weather \m/(​><)\m/ - are with the new SCS skyboxes. Finally they've released some, and they're great. I haven't yet noticed any abominations like the famous 'cloud that looks like France' popping up all the time, and combined with the new lighting the game really has a fresh new feel, graphics wise.




Okay, here's Nuremburg.


The castle's looking a bit dated close up, but still pretty cool.




Looks like Brno's famous No. 1 tram, with which I have so many happy memories, has had its line extended to Nuremburg. But waitttt... that's not a tram on the sign. It's a bus. The plot thickens, the mystery deepens. Hey, whatever, on to the next frame.


Into the part of the city labelled as Wurth.




Dropped off the cargo somewhere or other and parked up to get some sleep ready for the journey back tomorrow.


Next day, early start as usual.


Now for a last few shots in Germany to finish things off - the next 'trip abroad' will be from Austria.








Feeling thirsty. Needed to get some fuel for the truck as well.


Close to the Czech border, we were in hillier territory again, and more picturesque, smaller roads awaited. I think this is near the Czech Sumava region.
