E2 - "One or more required files of the ProMods map modification could not be found" message
If you see this message:

Your ProMods .scs files are not in C:\Users\[username]\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2\mod\ or are named incorrectly. Confirm your files are in C:\Users\[Username]\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2\mod\
(Not C:\Users\[Username]\Documents\ETS2MP\mod or anywhere else!) and that their names and sizes are exactly:

Note that these sizes and names are for ProMods 2.56 only, other versions will be different.
The ProMods version required by TruckersMP may not always be the latest ProMods version, check the TMP website to see what version is currently supported.
Also note that sometimes numbers may have been added to your file names, for example promods-assets-v252(1).scs. While this is okay in single player, TruckersMP requires the file names to be correct, so remove any (x)'s that may have been added (In this example, you should rename the file promods-assets-v252.scs).

E3 - "Invalid client, redownload through the launcher" message
If you recieve the following message:

Try reinstalling TruckersMP, refer to the TruckersMP Knowledge Base, or ask for help on the TruckersMP Discord server

E4 - General connection/server issues
If you are having trouble connecting to a TruckersMP server, check their server status page.
If the servers are running without issue, but you cannot connect, try reinstalling TruckersMP, refer to the TruckersMP Knowledge Base, or ask for help on the TruckersMP Discord server

E5 - TruckersMP on older version
TruckersMP may still require an older version of ETS2 even after ProMods has updated to a new version.
Refer to the TruckersMP Knowledge Base, or ask for help on the TruckersMP Discord server to find which version of the game and ProMods you need to use.

You will need to downgrade your game to the version supported by TruckersMP. To do this right-click on the game on the left side of your Steam library and choose propereties, in the properties window click on the "Betas" tab, then choose "temporary_1_X - 1.X.x for incompatible mods" from the list (Where X is the ETS2 version you need to run TruckersMP):

E6 - Mods compatible with TruckersMP
The only mods compatible with TruckersMP are ProMods and the currently supported Grimes' season mod.
No other mods are compatible with TruckersMP!

F2 - General load order for mods
The general load order when using multiple mods is:

Note that using this order doesn't guarantee that you will avoid conflicts, but will reduce the likelyhood of that happening.

F3 - Using the right version of a mod for the game version
Some mods will be made to work with specific versions of the game, but not always marked as incompatible in mod manager when you are using the wrong version. They may or may not still work and you may or may not encounter bugs. Clicking the "i" button in mod manager will bring up a description of that mod:

If the mod author has been helpful, the description should include which version of the game the mod is intended for. The further you are from this version the less likely it is to work.
In the event you encounter issues or crashes, first disable any mods not designed for the current version of the game.

F4 - Further help with other mods
If you need help with mods other than ProMods, you can ask in #general-support or #other-mods on the ProMods Discord server. We can't guarantee that we can help get it working, but there are lots of helpful people with experience with all kinds of mods.

G1 - There is a common issue missing in this guide
It is entirely possible that I have missed something while writing this guide, politely ping me (OfficialDOWL#4487) on the ProMods Discord server to say so. Obviously don't ping me for nothing or I'll ban you for pinging staff for no reason (joke)

G3 - Map suggestions
Luckily for us there are many sources of mapping data on the internet (Google Maps or OpenStreetMap for example). We don't need suggestions of which towns or roads to build because we can get that from a map. However if you notice a developer is working in a certain area and you know an important landmark or industry they may not be aware of, let them know. They might not care or it might not be relevant or there may not be space for it but sometimes help like this is useful and appreciated.
