Welcome everyone to explore Europe with Ticreut29.
I will provide some Screenshot of my Trips and give some fact about the region I visit during my trips.

Fact about Aberystwyth
-Aberystwyth is a small but vibrant coastal town on the West Coast of Wales in Cardigan Bay. Nestling between three hills, the town has an impressive seafront promenade, castle ruins, a pier and a marina.
-Aberystwyth is known for Electric Cliff Railway one of the most popular attractions in the town and can boast that is the longest electric cliff railway in Britain.
-The narrow-gauge Vale of Rheidol Railway is based in Aberystwyth and departs daily during the summer taking visitors on a scenic journey to Devil's Bridge in the Cambrian Mountains.
-Due to its central location, Aberystwyth is home to several National Welsh Institutions which include the National Library of Wales.

-Porthmadog is the birthplace of T. E. Lawrence
-One of the most popular attraction of the city is the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railway, a railway under 14 miles long/22,5 kilometres. One of the railroad crossings in the city cross is this Railway.

Some fact about Londonderry/Derry
-Derry City is sometimes known as the maiden city. It was attacked during the Siege of Derry in 1689 and several times since, and the walls have never been breached. It is possible to walk around the walls which give a good view of the city.
-Two well known Nobel Peace Prize winners come from County Derry in John Hume (politician) and Seamus Heaney (poet)
-The 1960s saw Derry become the focus of the Civil Rights movement is Northern Ireland. Bloody Sunday drew worldwide attention in 1972.
-Shirtmaking in the city was the most prolific in the UK with garments being exported all over the world.

-The raincoat was invented in Scotland by a man named Charles Macintosh
-Scotland is home to the oldest tree in Europe. It is a twisted yew, and it has been around for 3,000 years.

Fact About Uist isle
-The seaweed industry is one of the main employers on the Uists.
-North Uist is the site of the earliest crannog in Scotland, dating back to around 3200BC.
-South Uist is the only place in Britain where prehistoric mummies have been found.
-About 70% of people on Uist speak Gaelic, making it one of the last Gaelic-speaking strongholds in Scotland.

Fact About Perth
-Perth is known as the ‘Fair City’ because of Sir Walter Scott’s 1828 novel The Fair Maid of Perth.
-Perth was the capital of Scotland from the 9th century until 1437 and was Scotland's second city’ until local government changes in 1975.
-The River Tay, which flows through Perth, is the longest river in Scotland, measuring 119 miles in length.
-King James I was murdered in Perth in 1437 by his uncle, Walter Stewart.

Fact Forth Bridge
-It was the first major steel construction in the UK.
-Such has been the cultural impact and significance of this bridge that in 2015 – on its 125th anniversary – it was granted UNESCO world heritage status placing it alongside such greats as the Great Wall of China, the Acropolis and the Taj Mahal.
-The Kincaid Bridge in GTA San Andreas is based on this bridge.

Fact road Forth Bridge
-The Forth Road Bridge upon its opening was the longest suspension bridge in the world outside of the United States and bears a close and elegant resemblance to the Golden Gate Bridge on which it was modelled.
-Soon after opening, the number of vehicles crossing the Forth leapt from 900,000 to 5 million annually. At the time of the Forth Road Bridge’s construction, it was forecast the vehicle traffic across the Forth would peak at about 8 million.
- The Garver Bridge in GTA San Andreas is based on this bridge.

Fact About The Queensferry Crossing
-The Queensferry Crossing is the longest three-tower cable-stayed bridge in the world. Incorporating new construction technologies and wind shielding features to safeguard both the bridge and the vehicles it carries.
-Mike Glover, the bridge’s chief engineer, said the windscreens meant the chances of this bridge being closed by high winds were very remote: ‘If you can get to the bridge, you will cross it.

Some fact about Iceland Mountain/Volcano before we leave the country.
-The highest mountain peak in Iceland is called Hvannadalshnjúkur, which is 2,119 m
-More land is covered by glaciers in Iceland than in all European countries combined.
-Eyjafjallajökull Volcano is known for its eruption in 2010, causing many flights being interrupted in Europe due to ash cloud.
-Local people successfully stop a lava flow during the Eldfell eruption in 1973 and averting an economic disaster.
