This tiny mod is for anyone using the Russia Southern Region map together with Road to the Black Sea DLC or Promods.

It removes the ridiculous ferry between Novorossiysk and Messina and adds a real life ferry service between Novorossiysk and Varna, which adds a direct connection between the two parts of the Black Sea coast.

Cost and travel time are estimated, taken from the Poti-Varna ferry.

OLD version with Varna ferry Only with the Messina ferry removed Feel free to redistribute as long as credit is given.

Discontinued, I found that this ferry line has been shut down.

where does this mod go

Above the SR map. Next to the other ferry (Promods-SR connection) is a good spot.

will it work in 1.39 ferry stuff

Please ask about other mods in other mods threads. SR and its connector work with 1.39 if you edit the manifest file.

it's great that you delete the irrealistic ferry to messina, but if i plan a route between Varna and Novorossiysk the gps doesn't use the ferry, it makes a long round above, even if i cancel every other path, it doesn't seems to recognize that ferry

I's possible the game decides it's a better route -- it will prioritize roads over ferries as much as possible. Since there is no road across the Ukraine though this is a pretty large diversion, so jobs from south Russia to southern Europe should now prioritize the ferry.

What map mods are you using? I didn't test with maps other than Promods, Rusmap, and Southern Region. For me, with this ferry, most jobs would logically cross the Black Sea now use the ferry.
