My computer freezes about 3/4 of the way through the 2.43 ProMods load screen and I have to reboot it to get it back.

Hi,
on the first load the game is generating the navigation cache, which can take up to 30 minutes (on slow PC's).
Just be patient and let it load - on second load it will load fast.

Yep, I wasn't patient. I let it finish loading (maybe 20ish minutes) and now all's good.
