It was for holidays. I wanted to see a part of Africa, so I decided to go there. You can spend nice holidays on awesome beaches and see the countryside in a view km of driving.uk_daf_fan wrote:Some interesting trips here! Particularly Senegal stummer, why there?

I guess living in Australia its quite hard to drive to other countries without using other means of transport . That's an advantage of Europe.realdeal350 wrote: Don't worry Volan. I've never been overseas.

I've visited the Netherlands and Belgium on several occasions, and had a holiday in Denmark. Most of those journeys were taken on ferry services that no longer operate . So as you can see, I've only managed to travel Europe's flattest countries. And, I live in the flattest county in England too .
But I'll wager no-one can come close to this guy for world travel: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/special/2014/ ... index.html

Yeah but at least I don't have to understand (or learn) a new language every time I cross a border.uk_daf_fan wrote:Sounds nice!stummer wrote:It was for holidays. My list is pretty unimpressive, but countries I've visited;
Netherlands (my home country)
Belgium (mainly as a gateway to travel to other countries)
Germany
Austria
Switzerland (my favourite country to spend the holidays)
Luxembourg (although I was only a few years old and I can't remember a thing of it)
France
Spain (but only a kilometer past the French border)
United Kingdom
Czech Republic
Denmark (but I don't remember much of it, we were visiting Legoland when I was a kid)
I'm not really a traveller, but there are a few countries I really want to visit at least once in my life. My to-do list is;
Iceland
Japan
USA
