Ah yes Sigur Rós. Personally I believe the louder stuff does not work for Iceland (i.e. from the Kveikur album). You need to play the masterpiece album Ágætus Byrjun. It's ambient enough especially when driving down the south side of Iceland past Eyjafjallajökull. Great band. Just don't listen to Takk album.

you have to check the the route to patreksfjörður from reykjavik that goes through búðardalur and the route from patreksfjörður to ísafjörður

I recently became a member of the ProMods team thanks to my work improving Iceland.
I'm currently rebuilding Reykjavík so you can go there without seeing grass growing through tarmac or buildings made of a few pixels. I'm aiming to release for ProMods 2.50

Amazing work! I confess when I saw the first post in the original thread, I thought "Meh, so he just retextured a stretch of road and added a bunch of fences, what's the big deal?"... Boy, that turned out to be quite a misjudgement.
