Wow, you seem to know a lot about it.

lol, yea, some of the perks of having a family member being a soil scientist and working for the government this is stuff we often talk about. what grows where and, how little things like rain and soil conditions provide each type of plant their ability to survive in its in environment. btw, those classifications are different for precipitation than you see on eco region maps, by a rainfall standpoint less than 10 inches of rain is the definition of a desert, while from a eco region perspective if the plant life begins to show signs that its drought tolerant or able to conserve water due to less rainfall then the area is defined as desert so you have larger areas of the southwest on that map classified as a desert, cold or warm depending on overall seasonal temperatures... well enough of my babble, I'll let you guys back to the Oregon topic.

I found it quite interesting.

Anyway, going back to the Oregon topic, I'd say that the image shown doesn't confirm that next will be the Beaver State... But I doubt that SCS would show that sign if it wasn't planned as the next region.

In the last blog post SCS shows us this screenshot https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-7FnCSqgvT38/ ... _fixed.jpg
which is based in Oregon. Is Oregon the next to come in ATS
I'll be very happy if they add Oregon. First green state in ATS! The desert is starting to be quite boring.
I agree about that too, because i think that we have seen enough desert and now it could be time for some green trees. ;)

Squirrel had a short stream from SCS offices when they pushed the button on NM release. He did say that he asked what's coming next for both ATS and ETS and that he'll upload his interview videos starting next week. We could hear some interesting stuff about further development (at least I hope we will).

Either way, he basically confirmed Oregon as next because he said something like "they revealed what's next with that in-game screenshot from Oregon".

I wouldn't be surprised if Oregon is closer then we might think.

We already know that SCS's map expansions are adjoining countries / states. I.e. with ETS2, the vanilla map and its adjoining countries were the eastern countries (Going East!), Dk, Sw and Nw (Scandinavia), France (Vive la France) and Italy (upcoming Italia).
In ATS, we've had NM (adjoining with Arizona vanilla ("?") map) and guessing that Oregon it's gonna be next, is adjoining with California and Nevada, which would confirm that. The same would happen in a future with Utah.
After that, for both ETS2 and ATS, we can't know right now what is gonna happen, tho for ETS2 I think that almost anyone has wondered about a DLC for Ireland / Iceland (even tho right now the most demanded DLC would be Iberian Peninsula).

SCS hinted something like that.

"For now, at least - you will have to wait until we release Washington state DLC for the full length of US 101"

Well that doesnt mean they are going for Washington right after Oregon, it could be or not. Would make more sense going for Utah.
