Here's the 2nd out of 4 trips in W. Poland: Koszalin to Swinoujscie.
Cool footbridge in Koszalin. I tried to find it on Google but no joy.
Mickey D is well represented here.
Great architecture on the roundabout. I must say I like this default paint scheme for the cab, lots of possible combinations and looks decent.
Leaving Koszalin en route to Kołobrzeg.
The charm of the country road...
...and lovely Kołobrzeg.
Passing through the coastal town of Dziwnowek.
Highlights of Miedzyzdroje.
Looks like a big railway hub between Miedzyzdroje and Swinoujscie.
Swinoujscie is a big, detailed town, in two parts connected by a ferry. Auntie Wiki says it means "Swinamouth", rather like Plymouth or Dartmouth - it's a port on the mouth of a river.
Enough of the geography lesson, here are a couple of last shots of this nice destination.
Cheers

Heartland journeys
Thanks very much! Shame about the bridge... I guess it does exist somewhere in ETS2 or a mod and the creator thought it would also look nice here.
I've changed the name of the village - thanks for the correction. Polish spelling is difficult for me, I'm used to Czech and English...

Travelling from Swinoujscie to Piła this time. In a gratuitously roundabout photo-op-seeking and incredibly inefficient sort of way.
Call those pipes? Ha ha ha. Look at mine. Now that's a pipe.
On the way from Swinoujscie to Szczecin.
Szczecin is impressive.
"From Stettin in the Baltic to Trieste in the Adriatic, ..."
Thanks for the tip Mr Churchill, sounds like it could be a great route. Another time, maybe.
Back in the countryside for a moment and nearing Nowosad.
Nowosad.
A Koszalin suburb, or something.
Bobolice again. May I suggest using water? You'll find a lake just beyond those houses across the road.
Szczecinek... Little Stettin, I suppose.
Finally, that pipe we ord.... oh, he's gone.
Is driving aimlessly around with a heavy goods vehicle a fineable offence?
All futile peregrinations must one day come to an end. We've arrived in Piła.
The beauty and the bleak.
Cheers!

Epic !
I think I'll put one on my desktop wallpaper
I think I'll put one on my desktop wallpaper
Thanks very much
Cheers! I guess with the you're not serious about the desktop, but in case you're half serious the source images on my computer are 1050x1400, not ideal I'm afraid. My widescreen monitor died a while back. But if you ever want something just let me know. The stuff on imgur is only 600x800 so useless.
I HOPE I can finally buy a new graphics card soon to replace my one from 2011. That might help as well...
One last set from West Poland: Piła to Gorzów Wielkopolski
Exiting some part of Piła, which seemed to have various small outposts.
2 room flat, nice and central for the theatres, etc. great views from rear windows.
Smile and say "Strzelce Krajeńskie"!
Nice small town atmosphere.
Attractive countryside outside Strzelce Krajeńskie en route to Gorzów Wielkopolski.
More lurking coppers.
The internationally renowned giant Brie of Gorzów Wielkopolski.
Got a new skin and cargo...
...and hit the road...
...no further destinations...
...just driving.
Bye bye Poland for now... Next sets from Southern UK.
Cheers

I've got the snaps and the time, so starting the third stage of these "Heartland Journeys" through
the SCS core map with good ol' Promods right now. This time - the south of the UK.
Like Germany, the default UK seems to have a bit of a bad press, being one of the oldest and most primitive parts of the map.
I've never found it that bad, as it has a character of its own, vaguely English, and there's also the different scale
and driving on the other side of the cab and road to freshen things up a bit. Still, curious to check it out in detail
with Promods added in...
Trip No. 1: London to Dover. Time: Early November.
Out on the town in London with Baba Yaga, an old Krone.
Heading towards Croydon.
The Brown Tree of Croydon. And so it shall stand, till the True King doth return.
On the way to Dover.
This will be the last featured country with Grimes' early autumn mod. S. England is pretty mild, so
I guess I can "get away with it" but really it's late autumn now...
Maidstone Depot or something along those lines.
Rush hour in Dover.
I like Dover. Dover's got sole.
Cheers

Southern UK journey No. 2: Canterbury via Portsmouth to London
I count myself fortunate that ETS2 + Promods has pretty much got my life covered as regards places where I've lived. It's just missing Singapore.
Have lived half my life in Brno, Czech Republic. Featured in the core map from SCS, I think, or at least in Going East. Grew up near Portsmouth UK, and spent 5 years at university and doing odd jobs in Canterbury. Today we're going to visit the latter two places. Just got to hope Promods reach Singapore in the next couple of years. It's going to happen, right?
Starting from Canterbury, just a short hop from Dover.
Back in Dover
Careful. Doesn't rhyme with plover.
Cottage on the beach? Nice...I'll take it.
How to round up sheep the modern way, without a sheepdog.
1. Roll them in iron filings.
2. Switch on powerful electromagnet.
Bit of country lyfe.
No bluebirds today.
Assets already in game for refuse collection DLC.
Nearing Portsmouth at sunset. I'll be home for tea, Mum!
Portsmouth's space exploration bid well underway, funded by Emirates.
Portsmouth has a ton of cool old maritime architecture and historic ships which sadly aren't represented here.
But I'm not complaing. Glad it's in there at all, so close to default Southampton. Same goes for the new Canterbury.
Great to see it in there - thanks Promods!
New day, new cargo, and returning to London.
We're back!
Giant imported Gorzów Wielkopolski Brie spotted near Central London.
Enough for today...
Cheers
