ETS2 and Promods weird thing

Hi all,

I have since the last Promods version came out (v2.02) a weird issue, my language is Dutch, settings are Dutch, profile when creating is Dutch, so settings should be ingame europe and km, yet after saving and restarting game/profile settings change to us and miles.

I cant figure out why it does that, even if i put it back to europe and km and save it it reverts to us and miles after shutting down of the game.
My other profiles dont have this issue to be clear, only since Promods v2.02 and yes i have Dutch selected on downloadpage for creating def file.

Is there anyone that has a solution perhaps for this really annoying weird thing?
Would be much appreciated if i can solve it without deleting and recreating a profile.

You could try opening the config.cfg located in \Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2\most-recent-profile and searching for the line:

uset g_mph "1"

If the number is 1, change it to 0 to use km's instead of mph's.

You could also try setting

Code: Select all

uset g_reg_setting "reg_setting.us"

to

Code: Select all

uset g_reg_setting "reg_setting.europe"

and saving your config.cfg file.

Thx Zakara will try that and feel stupid for not thinking that myself.

hmmm not much to edit that is all good... still giving me the us and miles for some weird reason when starting the profile, will figure it out on new Promods version once it is released.

redownload of the def file in dutch seemed to have solved it, it stays as i put it.
checked like a dozen times now starting and closing profile now it seems to stay on europe and km.

What language do you use in Windows? If you use English there then the game will use English as well as default.

All is set to Dutch like mentioned in other comment, i redownloaded the def file (back then it was choice Dutch somehow it turned up english and messed with my settings for that profile, have redownloaded it day of making the topic and response i had and since that time no problem...

And if windows was set to English (not that it would be easy for me) then other profiles should have had same issue, it was only on the profile i made for and with promods
