Nice to see adding stuff to Svalbard. But why two abandoned places though? Nobody lives in either location anymore. Can't wait to play it.

Meanwhile we've added our first custom oversize route for the upcoming version of ProMods. It leads you from Hiorthhamn to Grumantbyen all across the then driveable part of Svalbard. Note that this is a test drive of a WIP product, so some bugs are still visible.
Cool! Is your work on Svalbard concluded now? Or maybe we'll get to see Barentsburg / Pyramiden as Russia's Svalbard Outpost?

Because they're the only two settlements kind of reachable from Longyearbyen by road (actually Hiorthhamn isn't, but talking about the realism of Svalbard in a trucking game is 100% ironic in itself. :P ) It's just a good sandbox for trying out the techniques of the Oversize DLC in a small and confined area and it's a gimmick of the gimmick. ;)

Maybe one day, but not too soon. I'm busy enough now with my studies and the tasks here as a moderator, regional coordinator and the Austrian/Swiss Rhine valley project going on, together with another yet secret project developing and another one in my mind.

Is there a plan to eventually add Ny-Ålesund?

Ny-Ålesund is a Polish settlement. Do not forget the ferry (which takes a month) from Gdynia.

The world's northernmost public permanently inhabited town is definitely on my wishlist, but there's no way I'd include a ferry to Poland. That would be a catastrophe for gameplay. ;)

But they did fix the ferrybug?
Or would this bug the fixed ferry bug?

It is fixed, but a) it looks ugly and unserious on the map, b) it takes Svalbard the special status it has as the northernmost tip of the map only accessible by the very north, c) it would take Svalbard the last bit of realistic credibility it might have and d) as far as I know the game can't handle long ferry rides from some point onwards, and I'm unsure if that point wouldn't be reached by such a ferry.

There is a way if you do not include Ny-Ålesund-Longyearbyen ferry. Border crossing and ferry times will be accounted for delivery time after Baltic DLC is out.

Ferry routes can now be bent.

It is far out, afaik longer than a week. I have done a delivery (with ferries) lasting a week on Great Steppe+RusMap+ProMods combo.
