If you've tried kriechbaum's awesome Renault T sound mod, you'll find that the base game Renault T's in AI traffic may sound familiar now.
Many thanks to kriechbaum for permitting me to use his sounds so you can hear them in AI traffic too.

Without further ado, here is the mod update!

80% of the base game AI traffic sounds are now complete (▲ +1%)!
42% of the AI traffic sounds in [ETS2] International Traffic Pack - Vanilla Edition by Elitesquad Modz v1.0 are now complete (▲ +6%)!



Pack updated to v24.04 with the following changes:

A nostalgic horn that a great number of us missed from 1.47 has made a return, now available as an aftermarket option in the Sound Fixes Pack. I've also added possible horn interactions with dogs in addition to the interactions with tugboats.

The horn is marketed as "1.47 nostalgia horn" in ETS2 and simply "Nostalgia horn" in ATS, since only ETS2 players will remember the original horn used in the MAN TGX 2020 in 1.47.

81% of the base game AI traffic sounds are now complete (▲ +1%)!





Pack updated to v24.05 with the following changes:

Re-established the 1.47 version of the MAN TGX 2020 air horn to the game as a standalone air horn option.
The following quality standards have also been applied to it:
1. More accurate input response
2. Subtle sound direction filter
3. More accurate distance attenuation and spatialization
4. More appropriate sound position and sound volume
5. Interactivity with other Sound Fixes Pack sounds
6. Possible weakening of sound at low air pressure if not using a personalized low air warning sound

Nearby dogs outside the truck in the game may now bark in response to hearing a Sound Fixes Pack standalone air horn.
- Note that they may only bark when the player is not facing them, because of the absence of animation for barking.

Many thanks to Frontiersman for providing some extra voice lines for the Sound Fixes Pack's CB radio cop scouting feature in American Truck Simulator in this v24.08 mod update!

Although this optional feature is quite niche, it's great to hear that people find it useful for getting reports of cops nearby in the game.

In the v24.09 mod update, there's a lot of attention on Renault AI traffic vehicles, further progress on European train sounds, and more minor sound improvements.

85% of the base game AI traffic sounds are now complete (▲ +1%)!
52% of the AI traffic sounds in [ETS2 1.49] International Traffic Pack - Vanilla Edition by Elitesquad Modz v1.0 are now complete (▲ +4%)!

I also recorded a video with some gameplay using the English - Grace (AU) voice navigation option from the Sound Fixes Pack, which I've been meaning to do for a while.

Recording it now is a perfect opportunity because I can also demonstrate the brake squeaking feature from 1.50 at the same time.

Apparently you have to do a lot of miles on the truck for the squeakiness to be audible, hence why I've driving my Kenworth W900 which has done over 400,000 km.
