Game crashing near Exeter, UK

I have witnessed the game crashing everytime I drive on the M5 past Exeter.

I have checked if I have any outdated or broken mods but found nothing...

Hello there,

Your game is running out of buffer.
Try doing this:
Use notepad to open config.cfg at Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2
Find r_buffer_page_size 10
Change 10 to 30
Save the file and restart the game.

Hey maes, thanks for the quick response

I changed it to 30 and I managed to get past the usual crashing point. But after that I crashed upon opening the map to see where I was. Don't know if that's a coincidence or part of the same problem. Will try to investigate later

You need these two mods to avoid crash while zooming in/out the map:

The Zoom Crash Fix mod (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/ ... 2701258039) and a ProMods-compatible background map mod such as:
ProMods High Quality Map Background: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/ ... 2485894487.
Put the background map mod somewhere above all of your map mods in the Mod Manager and put the Zoom Crash Fix mod directly above the background map mod.

Adjusted the mods you mentioned.

Still crashed. I increased the buffer page size to 60 to no avail. Still crashing after that red bridge past Exeter.



I really don't understand what is going on...
Is there something in the game log that explains the constant crashes?

I tried deleting Weather 3.0 and the corresponding addon for Grimes New Summer and that seemed to fix the issue.
