ETS2 Crashing after installing Promods

Hi, can you please help my ETS2 suddenly started crashing to the desktop, froze to reboot with no mouse interaction or froze to a black screen then was forced to restart the PC.

Now every time I launch ETS the moment I click Drive it freezes on the load screen and crashes.

The problem started after installing the Promods listed below:

ProMods 2.68 DLC Support Pack
ProMods 2.68 Def (with map zoom compatibility checked)
ProMods 2.68 Map
ProMods 2.68 Models 1
ProMods 2.68 Models 2
ProMods 2.68 Models 3
ProMods 2.68 Media
ProMods 2.68 Assets

I have tried creating a new profile running ETS2 on vanilla without any mods and managed to drive a few jobs then freezing started and crashed again. I don't know what's causing the crash.

Have you tried verifying your game files in Steam? (right click ETS2 -> Properties -> Installed Files -> Verify Integrity of Game Files)

Yeah, I have done that many times verifying game files, but still no luck...

I would guess a hardware fault of some kind then...

Probably it could be that, but other games are running ok though. Strangely I also found another folder win_x64 inside the bin folder I'm not sure if it's meant to be present.





What is the recommended promods priority order inside the Mod manager?

Hello there,

For me, the plugins could be the reason why your game crash more. And if you only use ProMods, there is no recommended priority order, but if you use with other mods. Map mods should always be put below other kinds of mods.
