downloaded the latest version, but when i extract the files, i get a folder full of compressed files, which when i go to extract them, I am told "Cannot open file as archive"
Map and DLC support seem to extract just fine

Why are you trying to extract .scs files? .scs files cannot be extracted. And ProMods TGS hasn't been updated, but with no issues in 1.48.5. So you don't need to update it.
