Has SCS changed something to the semaphores?

I was wondering if someone knows if SCS has made some kind of changes to the semaphores, as EVERY mod which extends the yellow time (from 2 seconds to a more realistic 3 or 4 seconds) doesn't work properly anymore for a while. But only in some countries. For example in all Benelux countries, Germany and Poland mods don't extend the yellow time anymore, while in France and the UK they work properly. Since I've tried multiple mods that serve the same purpose - none of them working properly anymore - I'm afraid something in ETS2 itself has been broken or changed. I haven't activated nor deactivated any other mod recently. Are more people here encountering this? I mean, I assume many people use this kind of mods, since 2 seconds yellow time is way too short to be able to stop in time in many cases.
