My own ETS2 progress in Mapview

Hi everyone!


Way back I started on something called 'Euro Truck Simulator 2 cities list.xls'.
That was my list of all the cities in ETS2.
I did that by writing down all the cities on the in-game map (That was with Going East but without Promods)
I found a site with the same list, only without the Going East cities. I was one happy guy! Now I could add the suffix (GE) to the cities that weren't in the default game!
A few months later, I uploaded this MS Excel sheet to Google Spreadsheets. And I installed Promods. So I added the Promods cities, made the citynames gray, and added the version numbers to them. So a few weeks ago, this spreadsheet this spreadsheet was born

Now he's finally ready, you my think.
But no, I'm not.

Here on Promods, there is that one user who calls himself 'Purno'.
And Purno made an awesome Mapview of the Promods progress en future plans. Which is really cool! In this mapview you can easily see whats SCS' and what's Promods' part of the European map.

But in that mapview I was missing something. I couldn't see what was in the Going East DLC, and in what version the Promods cities were added. You my call me a maniac, but I 'stole' Purno's idea and made my own mapview, just like in my spreadsheet I added the version numbers and DLC's in which the cities appeared for the first time.

But, that's not all.
I'm also busy adding all the roads! And planning on adding all the ports and other stuff to the map. To make one complete overview about the ETS2 Europe in real-life! It is a hell of a lot of work, and I just started with the roads (South East England (A36/A46))

But allready I'm amazed by the fact of how accurate the ETS2 map actually is!

I know, it's a small screenshot....


I can't wait to see the UK when I'm ready!
I can't really tell how long I'm gonna take, 'cause it's a lot of work.. And my eyes don't really like this 'eye'dea


Edit:
Because I took half a day off, ('cause I've build up to much free time by doing overtime) I now realise that it's a very, very, very much work to make all the roads haha Half a day to make the cities (again) and a few parts of the roads...

But I know that the result will be worth it

Finally!
All the ports/trainstations and the corresponding routes are added!
Took me again half a day, mostly because it was my turn for the 24h services of my job.. So I've spend lot's of time working and on the road today.

Progress have been quite slow lately, this due to the fact that I bought myself a new home

But ey, in the spare time I've been working on my mapview
And after a few months, it's finally ready!
All the roads of Great Britain have been added to the mapview!
And I must say, the in-game map looks quite the same as the corresponding roads IRL! Just awesome!

I did follow, where possible, the same roads as the in-game mapview does. But when there are no road-numbers, I followed the road what seemed the one that the in-game map followed.

I took a lot of time and effort, but I'm pleased with the result!

Next stop, Scandinavia!

The UK consists of 129 individual lines (roads/pieces of roads).
I made my roads from in-game intersection to in-game intersection. That way I hope to avoid a lot of -doing it all over again- when the UK (or any where else) is updated.
