Message for the ProMods Team

Alright. Now that you're here, the PM team has some explaining to do. As I usually do, I like to snoop around the map a little when I'm not on a job so this time, I was in Cyprus. So, knowing that Nicosia is the only divided capital in the world, I had to look around a bit. I just found a lot of walls and virtual barriers when I tried to cross the DMZ into the Northern Cyprus side of Nicosia. But, I was still able to teleport my truck past them in developer mode. After that, I did some exploring around Northern Nicosia and I found more than what I expected. I found not only a dealer with two trailers, but also a bus stop, several fully modeled buildings, and (get this) a FULLY FUNCTIONAL gas station. Not only that, but this area of Northern Nicosia appeared to be fully mapped to the outskirts of the city. This means something. I cannot believe that this is a coincidence. I feel like Promods might be seeing Northern Cyprus in the near future or, at least Northern Nicosia. I want an explanation PM team! Here are some screenshots of my "expedition" if you will:

Segments of Northern Nicosia have been added to the map only for decoration reasons. It serves only as a backdrop for the border area, so that there are no cutplanes (= visible gaps in the scenery) right next to the driveable portions that you can explore during normal gameplay. ProMods' policy on politically disputed territories still stands, so no, we have no plans for adding Northern Nicosia.

Maybe it's me, but i do not see a bad attitude. I see a little bit of almost sarcastic humor. My tip will be more like: Use smilies, when you are laughing, so everyone can see the laugh too. Then you will not be tipped on your finger that fast...

I understand. Also, what's promods' policy on disputed territories? The only thing I've seen related to that was the disclaimer in the read me file of the middle east addon.

Well, the main mod does not include any areas (such as Kosovo, Transnistria, Northern Cyprus, etc.) that are politically disputed. This strict approach is mostly due to the sensitivity of said areas, and the fact that it's always a source of heated arguments within the playerbase.

Makes sense. Although, I'd love to see Transnistria in the game so I could see the world's only flag with a hammer and sickle left on it! They're not even communist/socialist! Maybe the Roextended Project could include something like that.

Yeah I know Transnistria is really part of Moldova and only has partial recognition. Just be glad you're talking to an American who actually bothers with world geography and history! I'd say probably 95% of us Americans wouldn't know what the heck Transnistria is. Or Moldova either.
