I would honestly opt for an optional version to open the isreal/lebanon border as well. Would actually love to drive up and down the stretch of the middle east in one go.
Hi there,
I saw you have a new background map..
I normally use the satellite one from EBF or from dOOmERdaZe. But they don't fit anymore. The map is always shifted. And available map zooms don't fix it.
Would you eventually make a mod to fit the existing satellite background maps to yours?

The Middle East pack is using the new projection. The main ProMods pack will also be adapted to this new projection, so in the future all the "satellite background maps" and similar mods must be updated..

You're talking about a "new projection". Can you elaborate a bit on that?
Which map projection are you referring to? Does it have a name? What's
the specification for it?

SCS updated that map projection a few updates ago to make the extremities of the map fit better (extreme north, south and east).
With ProMods we have continued to overwrite the new SCS map projection so that we could keep our map compatible, but we have been working for more than a year to rescale certain parts of the map (notably Scandinavia and Cyprus) . Once those rescales are complete we will also adapt the main pack to this new map projection. The ME map was built using the new projection so it's using some tricks to keep northern Europe aligned which is probably why most background map mods don't align

Thanks for that information, but do you have any data to point to,
where I can read about how the map projection is defined? Does
it have a common map projection name or is it a special SCS one?

Yes to this 100% - not sure if the scale will allow it but I would love to have the Sea of Galilee on this map with Tiberius. A continuation of 90 north along the Galilee with Mt Arbel would be fantastic.baetatomska wrote: ↑03 Aug 2019 15:31Could you build Petra (Wadi Musa) just as a scenery place?? Jk
I'll definitely love to drive all the way from Aqaba to Amman, since it will make me remember my 2017 summer hollidays!!!
As for the present content of this add-on, I must say that it is really amazing what I've seen so far (Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Beer-Sheva in Israel and El-Arich and Port Said in Egypt).
For the expansion I would like to suggest the Galilea Sea area in Israel (with towns such as Nazareth and Tiberiads) and the continuation of road 90 towards north (yeah I know it crosses Cisjordanian territory but you've already built parts of it XD) and if you do that don't forget to place ONU cars in the section between Tiberiads and Jericho
Maybe Route 5 with the town Al-Jafr from Ma'an to Safawi could be an option to fill the gap in the east of Jordan? It can connect Madaba with Route 40. (If possible in scale of course )
