I have the main PM mod installed, but not TCP - and yet there is already a bunch of real companies and their trailers in the game now. If PM already adds IKEAs, Auchans, McDonald's and so on, what does the TCP add-on do then? If it adds even more real companies, why put them in a separate mod when you're already putting some of them in the main mod anyway?

P. S. I'm enjoying PM's wonderful scenery a lot despite a few glitches here and there, and I'm thankful to its team for creating such an amazing mod. I'm just not too keen on having real companies in the game, personally. Especially seeing how PM replaces the vanilla Latin-script 'IKA' trailers with real-life IKEA ones, but forgets about their Cyrillic-script counterparts which still read ИКА instead of ИКЕА - the resulting bizarre mix breaks the immersion for me somewhat...

No it does not, there are some additional companies that have been added but it does not replace vanilla companies

Why is the Trailers and Companies Pack kept separate in the first place?

Because if you want to use a another real company mod, or if you don't want a real company in your game, you will not take TCP.

Because some people, like me, don't like real companies in the game.
I'm glad it's a separate mod. :)

Well, it replaces IKA/IKEA, at least. But yeah, I see now that it doesn't appear to replace anything else. Thanks for clarifying this.

Speaking of IKEA, I just saw an IKEA logo on a tanker the other day. Is this expected behaviour or a bug? Why would a furniture company be transporting liquids?
