An Aussie Newbie to the Game

I am Durfsurn and I have come from the land of SimCity 4, so you may have seen me at Simtropolis under the same username. I have recently purchased bot the game and its DLC in the recent Steam Summer sale (yay!) and would like to know more about modding, what I need to know about it, and how you guys mod the game so maybe one day I could help

You could check the SCS forums for more information. I think most of the modders are there (depending on what you want to mod actually).
