Low battery of the phone ?

It was low battery, but not on phone as it was plugged in. Plus I mute my phone for the night so I won't be hearing it

Smoke Detector. And of course you've got no spare 9V batteries on hand to replace the flat one.

Exactly, fortunately it's rechargeable 9V battery so re-charging it will be just fine. Oh, and it's the ionization type and it needs to be twisted onto the ceiling plate, but I have no idea in which turn I need to twist it, so it kept chirping from 3.14AM to 9.26AM when dad took it down.

And first, I thought that the battery will have about 1-2 volts of charge until it begins to chirp, but the truth is that when the voltage drops to about 8.97 volts, it starts chirping.


And downstairs we have a photoelectric type alarm, and the only beeps I've heard from it are when the test button is pressed or the low battery chirp.
