ProMods

As the developers don't work anymore on Rusmap, I think it would be a huge loss for the community given the quality of the map. That's why I think it should be merged directly into ProMods. Maybe you could ask the developers of Rusmap about it.

I don't think it's possible, especially that Russian community will be angry about it.
Besides, we don't have free developers to work in Russia, so it's unlikely we would be able to expand RusMap's area.

So the Russian ETS2 community would rather want a map to die than be saved by another map? The other point I can understand.

I believe they would prefer somebody from Russia to take over the project. For example, Southern Region could take care of RusMap. Or just another modder from their community.

pff.. there is 2-3 real working adoptions of Rusmap at moment.. russian community never leaves a Rusmap alone..

The feedback we have had from the Russian community so far is that they don't want "Westerners" to touch their country with imperialism because they feel we cannot give it an accurate representation.
We're leaving it up to the community to decide upon the fate of the Russian territory in the ETS2 world.

ScuL, I have read something similar from some few people from USA, regarding ATS.
But in this case replaced "Westerners" with "European" and no mention of imperialism.

If it is a majority saying those things, then well...
Best to skip modding the Russian territory by non russians.

Wonder if some say that even about SCS Software? regarding ETS2 and Russia?

Most important in my opinion, would have been a good map. Regardless where the mappers came from, or where they live, etc.
