Can i use pro mods if i don't have the map dlc ?

I saw there's an older version of the mod but will it interfere with the game. Or should i just wait till a steam sale to buy the maps and get promods than ?
The latter, it's best to obtain the DLC's because we use the models and assets from these packages.
You can use older versions but you will have to downgrade your game and you will lose a lot of functionality.
