Where/How to start mod developing ???

I have been driving more than 2 years and more than 1.800.000 km. I think it is time to start producing something.

I am a great fan of Scania but currently I am driving Volvo VNL. It is a great truck considering modeling, comfort, style, road handling etc. And now I want to create a mod for Volvo VNX 740 8x4 or 8x6. Actually just stretching 6x4 chassis and adding an extra axle will be enough (I think). It may be easy or not. I do not know...

I want to learn developing truck mods but I do not know which soft wares to use... So you if you guys give me a guide or a TO DO LIST I will be glad. Even recommending me tutorial videos will be so helpful for me...

I would recommend that you visit this site SCS Software Modding Wiki. You can find some answers on this site. I hope I helped you at least a little bit. :)
