Could somebody give me a general idea of the part of Russia portrayed in this mod? I can't read the Cyrillic so I'm having a hard time identifying the towns. I gather it's along the Urals?

It goes all the way out to Northern Siberia actually. About halfway through the entire country. There are translations for the city names that Frachti has posted on a thread in the SCS forums

Thanks. Hmm, it looks like the bulk of it is set in Nenets Autonomous Okrug and the Komi Republic.

I was sad enough a while back to plot the places roughly on a map made of bits of Google map stuck together.

It's a bit out of date as regards the "English" place names and doesn't have the military bases on it but it might show the general idea.

Edit: You might have to squint a bit as this was the largest version I could post without the eastern edge disappearing. Full-size version at https://c2.staticflickr.com/2/1584/2491 ... 523f_o.png

Big thanks Mr Larrington
I see Kotala in Finland (actually is) so the ROS map is unaccurate ?

Kotala is definitely in Finland so the map is inaccurate in that respect. I guess it was easier to keep everything in one country and hope someone with too much time on his hands didn't turn up and, er, plot a map

Hmm, are you sure about the name Kotala?
Wait, I found that Kotala

Hmm, I think I would prefer "portals" between Rusmap and ROS, to combine these two.
