Set edit mode to None and select them by holding Ctrl :P
Before selecting the last one you set the edit mode back to Item properties or whatever.

Thanks

I want to update my game to 1.20
if I do so, does the map I am working on require any "converting"?

The only thing you need to do is prefab node correction for some Scandinavia DLC ferry ports. There is an automatic tool for that when you hit F3.
There were also a lot of missing automats when transitioning from 1.19 to 1.20, but we already took care of that ;)

What is the best way to add a plain model or prefab, like a garage, on hilly areas?

Try the Bezier Patch, it does magic :P most of the time.
Rock models can be useful too, but avoid overusing them ;)

A cutplane is a "wall" (not with a collision, it's just a bit how it acts), which, if you place it, makes every object behind it invisible that's useful especially in cities, where you can divide streets with it (but carefully).
Then, if placed correctly, they make streets (streets which are not normally visible, for example if they are hidden behind building) totally invisible so the game doesn't load them before they should be visible, which increases perfomance a lot.

Except the awfully writtten sentences, I think it's quite a good simple explanation...

Yup indeed.

In addition it only works in the area between the two white lines on the side. You can also have a one sided variant (where the view only get's invisible from one side). Here it's in the area with the red lines (ingame you'd understand).

Also objects can have the property ignore cutplanes (e.g. when you got high buildings in a town they don't dissapear all of a sudden.
