problems with ets2 map editor

Dear fellow comrades.

I was happy to help out with the A1 Paris-Lille and I have been figuring out how the ets2 map editor works. I cannot get the map editor properly to work (on vanilla ETS2). When I zoom out, the map just dissapears. I have been searching all day on the internet to troubleshoot the problem. Even totally reinstalling my ETS2 installation. Can anybody help me out? Would be nice if I could get some work done!
