How to connect?

How can I connect a red node to a red node? For example connecting a Fork to a highway but not nodes are red wich must connect.

red with red does not work. Here you can set the nodes at the prefabs:

Two green nodes though can connect with eachother, but it must be a prefab in between them, like some of the forks or otherwise they can not connect properly.

It's easy:
Roads: Red with green always
Prefabs: Red with green and green with green (both prefabs must have the exact same rotation to connect two green nodes in a right way)
Prefab with road: Red with green and green with green
