I have a problem with a model I made. The light and shadows don't look right at all, some faces are darker no matter the sun position or being illuminated by a light source right next to it, and on others the shadows don't look right.

Here's a short video showing the problem. I put my model (orange) right next to a Promods model (yellow) so you can see the difference.

The model is made with the same settings as the "Simple cube" tutorial by SCS. Something in Blender must screw things up, but I don't know what.
I tried removing double faces (there were 0), adding completely new objects that got the same problem, trying the "black face fix" that can happen when normals are inverted (no faces were inverted). I'm running out of ideas.
