Hello again

This is the first time I have really had a chance to play Promods 2.41 and I am having a game crash after about 8 mins of game play my current delivery is from Poland across Germany to Cologne France, game plays absolutely fine and then just hangs and I get a CTD.

I am seeing a lot of errors in the game log but I'm not sure what they mean, this is running on my Promods only profile, i.e. I just have the Promods files active in my mod manager for this profile
any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

There seems to be an incompatible texture in dx11. If it is really on a Profile that never had any other Mods then ProMods, then post coordinates so we can check this and see if it's really a PM Problem.
Although you should check if your GPU Driver is properly installed and up to date, since you've many more dx11 Errors, which shouldn't happen on a clean PM Profile, which could also cause the failure above.

The video drivers I have installed are Nvidia latest game ready drivers 431.70

Interestingly enough, you got me thinking so I loaded my vanilla profile No promods Vanilla plus DLC's + sound fixes pack and a couple of other low impact mods this also crashed after about 15 mins here is the log from that profile:-

I can't confirm that problem there, so it must be a problem on your side. Googling the error code results into a GPU or Video Driver problem. So either try reinstalling them, or maybe try an older Version of the driver( the one before it)

Thank you Trucker2223, I think I will start with the next earlier driver which is 431.36 and try out that one, and then report back.

Ok, Drivers reverted to 431.36 game seemed to play ok on Promods profile and an interesting game log:-



Still a bunch of errors but related to map items, not sure what that's about.

Now reinstalling 431.60 drivers and see if the problem returns

Edit ... And sure enough the problem returns, here is that Game log:-

The too many map items are an SCS Restriction in 1.35. There are harmless and nothing can be don about them, other than removing some stuff on the Map

Well it looks like Nvidia is to blame on this occasion 431.60 causes DXGI errors 431.36 does not, so, where to go from here ...

As regards the map item errors, I can live with that, at least it does not crash the game

Perhaps SCS could be advised about this and as regards the Video drivers maybe let Nvidia know about it because if it happened to me, the chances are it will happen to others as they upgrade their drivers

Then report that error to Nvidia, so they can fix it in a future driver Update. Happy trucking then!
