Hey ETS2 and Promods Fans,

I have big issues with my Promods 2.26. Whatever grafic-settings I chose, the game bucks while playing since I have installed Promods 2.26. I did the installation correctly and have tried it several times. At first I started with 1900 x 1080 and grafic options on "high" and also tried it down to 1600 x 900 and "normal". In my opinion the performance of my PC schould be good enough.
The strange thing is that my friend plays promods on a normal notebook, which has a smaller CPU and GPU than my PC. He played it on the same settings which I have also tried (1600 x 900 and "normal") and it works without bucking. (with "bucking" I mean a gameplay on which the game needs a lot of reloads and makes the game like a bit of stop and go....don´t know the correct english word for it.)

I don´t have installed other mods and the order of activated promods packages in the mod-manager is: Def, Map, Media, Mod3, Mod2, Mod1, Assets.
The downloaded def-file has "normal" configurations.

I get frustrated by finding the solution for this problem and reagarding that it works an the notebook of my friend which isn´t as powerful as my PC.

Facts of my PC:
16 GB RAM
Raedon RX 480 8GB
AMD FX 8350 8x 4,0 GHz
SSD 120 GB (over 40 GB are free)

The only different is that my internet-connection is weaker. But I don´t think that it has impacts on promods.

I need your help....:(

Go into advanced graphics settings and lower the scaling and mirror render distance. Have you tried that already?

It's a DX9 Problem. SCS is working on it. Plus AMD FX 8350 8x 4,0 GHz is not that good of a Processor for gaming.

Thanks for your help,

I´ve always tried to reduce the scaling but it has no effect.

okay, this CPU isn´t the best I know, but my friend has an i3-processor and it works really smooth.
When I set down the grafic-settings to "medium" it doesn´t make a differecen, the gameplay ist still bucky, so I don´t think that it is a matter of my CPU.

What do you mean with DX9? Do you think newer components like my GPU aren´t really compatible with this old version of DirectX?

Is it possible that my monitor is the problem?

My friend whos playing via HDMI on his TV-screen has realised that when he turns back playing ETS2 with promods on his notebook it also bucks.
Could this be a reason for my issue and what can I do? i´m playing it on my pc monitor in 1920 x 1080 and the monitor has 60 Hz.

If this is the problem why does ETS2 without promods work and with promods it doesn´t run smoothly...?

DX9 is too old for mordern Graphics Cards, so the game runs on older Grapics Cards smoother then newer ones. My Computer can handle the game on Ultra Settings with ProMods Ultra Def Settings smoothly with 60 FPS. Only on bigger Citys it drops down to 40-50:
Intel Core i5 6400
8 Gb RAM
AMD Radeon r9 390 (8GB)

Is the game installed on the SSD drive? Or do you have it on other Storage. If it's not installed on an SSD drive it will also impact performance highly.
Try downloading a Def File with lower Settings(Medium or high)
