I wonder what ProMods will do with all those new assets coming from Bella Italia DLC when it comes out? Probably a Rework on some of Italy to make it work with the DLC is my guess

I don't know if you all have realized that in the 7th photo of the Italia DLC there is the entrance of a city called "Cassino", located 136 km down Rome.

On this photo, we see on the background famous Monte Cassino.

It's close to Neapol, so we surely see whole Italy. Question is, do we get all 3 islands?

Three? Which three? Italy only has 2 major islands, Sicily and Sardinia.

Volleyball4life is correct. Italy does not have colonies so Sicily and Sardinia are the only two. San Marino is an independant dwarf state who doesn't belong to italy itself.

Maybe you confused with Corse which WAS from Italy but beyond XVIIIth century became french. Anyways Sardegna and Sicily should be included in-game because of the importance of cities such Cagliari, Palermo and Catania.

That'd be SCS work (they mention it in the blogpost I think, that the assets and models are going to be refreshed (at least the roads) with the latest version before DLC release or so, like France DLC). Most likely ProMods will just apply them to where things look similar (so anywhere around the mediterranian). Or, considering that France DLC have those themes as well, SCS might not add much.

I guess for the time being ProMods can't really work on Italy. If SCS decides to overblow the cities it'll not be an easy job to improve them at all.

We practially stayed away from Italy ever since we knew it was coming. We focussed on other areas instead, which is why we have more of the Balkans than we expected...

Hmmm... If that's so, then probably after the ProMods 2.20 is released map developers can finally shift their attention to other parts of Europe, as what it is stated. Hope we can see more of UK being rebuilt, and also Ireland.

And once Italy DLC is finished, ProMods would then merge their content to the SCS. Just like they did in France and Scandinavia.

There's no shifting of attention at all. We've known about Italy for some time.

Even though we've known, it's not stopped us from tweaking and optimising our version of Italy.
The A4 from Verona, past Vicenza and Venezia has received a fair few tweaks and optimisations. It's now about as good as it can get without unjustifiably major changes to the area (Like building the three interchanges it really needs). It's now much smoother and faster and there's been some minor vegetation and texture updates too.

Italy does have three. Lampedusa, but it is small.
