Bolzano is a good idea but it wasn't worth our time on it now, because we knew the DLC is coming.

DLC will most likely launch just for the Christmas Steam Sales as they did with France and Scandinavia.

I hope that you succeed in making (and forcing other SCS mappers to make) realistic cities and road network, as you made here.
Do note that SCS is much more restrictive on that regards, mainly due to time constraints, quality standards (as in bug-free work) and performance standards. Don't expect dramatic changes in most of Northern Italy, just a nice touch-up ;)

As long as the SCS-Vanilla version has still *something* to do with reality (which means that for instance one-lane highways at exits get exchanged for their much more realistic French counterparts) I don't mind - after all there should be a certain challenge left for the Promods team ;-)

Hopefully it will be a nice touch-up Paris style and not Lyon/Lille/Calais style:)

I'm truly going to miss Promods Italy. Lots of complex interchanges that were very close with reality. It's a shame that the DLC is going to overwrite most of that...

I agree, promods made those cities and the future city Trieste a lot more like the cities are in real life

@Kobra2112
Don't forget that the main developer of PM is also in SCS... Therefore we can expect, possibly... EVEN BETTER quality. This seen that most of the Italian material is quite old! [Though, good!]

We can't expect anything more than a touchup of the areas that we already have though. I wouldn't even hold your breath for Sicily... I would say they'll probably just head down a little past Rome and call it a day, though I hope I'm wrong.

I don't know, judging by how SCS did Viva La France we might see it go at least down to Naples, and there is a ferry line in the first picture, so it could either mean Sicily in a later update or one of the islands are going to be in the initial release.
