I haven't been to the new Vienna, but just from the map I can see it's massive...

I do understand that the parts represented mostly involves things to the south of the city (so the industrial areas of Modling, Baden etc. - sorry if it's not precise !) and some bits to the east (like Hainburg a.d. Donau -where's the quarry btw ?), but is ProMods moving toward "Bigger is Better" nowadays ? I appreciate the realism and detailing - that's what makes ProMods a far better option than vanilla or any DLCs released so far - but would a more "area proportional" approach be better ? For instance, I haven't see any of the smaller (but equally distant) industrial and commercial areas to the north of Vienna being modelled - one comes handily close to the junction between S1 and A5 though. There are ofc other examples but it's not appropriate here.

Why don't you check out the new Vienna first, instead of basing your judgment on a map?

Map is love, map is life

Alright, I might be a bit too hard considering the detailed junctions included, but it just occupied my mind as I saw it, cosidering the other "giant" (folkestone rail terminal/yard). I guess ProMods can have it how they see fit, I'm nowhere near an European, but it's just an input. Probably a bad one though.

On the one hand I agree with you, but I also appreciate being able to drive through an immersive, massive metro area which the base map severaly lacks. I think I prefer it the way it is now. Sometimes realistic proportions have to make way in order to keep the immersion.

Keep in mind that I started Vienna almost 2 years ago with not too much experience in city building. I know that there are far more efficient ways and my future work will be more proportional.
