Well, here's some more with my Volvo. Two journeys. About 2000 KM.
A very cold morning (-2 deg Celsius) as we're driving towards Köln to pick up...
...23 t of Shell Petrol.
Skyline of Köln.
Highway passages.
Gotta love this sign, especially when you realise these signs are always used IRL when they build a road
Skyline of Dortmund.
It's probably around 12:00 here. We're heading towards the east.
Traffic's really busy with a lot of trucks.
Route from Hannover to Berlin...
My favorite Raststatte
Evening starts to fall around 16:40...
Huge cargo
Almost dark at 17:10
Enjoying the peace and quiet as we approach the Polish border...
...and then, this happened (randomly)!
And then, this:
Anyway, let's cross the border with Poland.
Witamy w Polsce or something, anyway we're welcome in Poland.
It's so dark
Pretty light because of the lamposts here.
Going up north, direction Gdansk.
The big descent...
Weather becomes foggy...
...rain starts to fall.
Only lasted for an hour though. We're leaving the motorway, towards Grudziadz and Olsztyn, the latter being our destination.
Dark again...
A nice bridge around Grudziadz...
...and arrived in Olsztyn.
Quickly change it to Polish plates (I have numberplate-OCD, I hate it when my trailer has a different country plate than my truck
) for the next journey, towards Maribor, Slovenia.
Open up the TIR plate and put some spotlights on it...
And get going on the Polish motorways. We have a trip of 1000 KM+ to go.
The Ring (of Warsaw)
Peace and quiet on this stretch towards Katowice.
Nice highways around Lódz...
Getting late already and we're yet to leave Poland...
Entering the Czech Republic!
Czech Rep has some great skies so I like it
Aprroaching Ostrava.
Quick fuel stop...
And we're in Slovakia! Bratislava, to be exact.
I had a quick rest on the border with Austria, in the foggy morning.
Spotlights come in handy here.
Good morning Austria, country number 4
Let's show this Renault how and what! Welcome in country number 5: Slovenia!
Sadly it turned out that's the end, it seems like I've forgot to take a drop-off picture. Well, anyway.
