Although it's bloody annoying in cities, one red light and it's entirely jammed :P
I tested this mod , it's nice one but when going trough cities , it's like a hell , cause they changed the traffic light systems.
True, as I said it's annoying in cities, but on the highway I like it!

Oh boy do I have some screens for you today! It's my last day before going on holidays, visiting the Mercedes-Benz museum in Stuttgart... anyway.

Image
"Reconassance" in this pretty cool BMW mod, and a car mod is not complete for me until you can stick ETS 2 original plates on it.

Image
A very pleasant workplace for long distances.

Image
Photomode did weird in this mod, so not all shots are my usual high quality. This one does.

Image
Made in Burg auf Fehmarn

Image
This one is on good quality...

Image
Random plates (Kaj is a Dutch boy's name :))

Image
Driving 110 km/h in a 120 km/h zone... Thug Life VW Van.

Image
Previous picture was made around Malmö, Sweden, this one is made near St. Petersburg, Russia. And I painted it red. Because I can :P

Image
Russian highways have a 160 km/h limit, so I made great progress.

Image
Anyone who can ID this car? It looked like a Ford Mondeo to me but I'm not sure.

Image
And now it's yellow! Entering Moscow.

Image
From Moscow we jump straight into East-Poland, near the border, where there was this huge traffic jam...

Image
Coincidence!

Time for an actual truck journey. Rolled out my RJL Scania, for a Scania trailer. We are transporting Car Engines from Södertälje to Warsaw.

Image
Made in Södertälje.

Image
Took a resthalt near Linköping.

Image
6x2 chassis has a tiny fuel tank, had to stop for some in Linkoping...

Image
New vs old Scania, although old wins here.

Image
Still not a huge fan of Scania's, though this combination looks ace.

Image
Evening falls as we approach the border with Denmark.

Image
How to describe Sweden in one picture ;)

Image
Made on the bridge that leads to the border with Denmark, with the Torso(?) Building in Malmö on the background.

Image
We're going under!

Image
Made near Rodbyhavn.

Image
Also made near Rodbyhavn

To be continued!

Thread is not dead! New screens! Due to vacation I have been gone for a while but here's some more.

To start with: I didn't finish the Scania journey, the 1.19 map change has reset my truck. :(
Good news: I have made a dangload of shots, enjoy!

Image
First journey: Skövde - Esbjerg. Travelling with my Volvo Ocean Race (which secretly is my normal Volvo FH).
This truck has officially overtaken my old FH in mileage, current mileage is 446.960 km.

Image
Driving to Goteborg for a boat connection between Sweden and Denmark.

Image
Found the boat :)

Image
Made near Arhus (or Aalborg, the most northern one).

Image
Stopping at the truckstop for some "quality food"...

Image
On the road again!

Image
Roadworks! Because who doesn't love them...

Image
Approaching the south of Denmark.

Image
Near Esbjerg.

Image
Even nearer to Esbjerg...

That was delivery #1

Delivery #2 goes from Rennes to Metz, using my endu-lab Renault Tandem.

Image
The mighty 440 BHP truck...

Image
Don't try at home: lifting your axle on a taglift rigid...

Image
Sloughes at the right lane, bruh, taking the middle lane like a boss.

Image
Made on the Peripherique of Paris (ringroad)

Forgot to take a shot in Metz of the arrival. Anyway. I decided to drive further to the south of France without a load.

Image
Nice bridge!

Delivery #3 goes from Tours to Dijon. Using my Volvo again. Because mileage :)

Image
Again on a bridge...

Image
Looks good in urban environment!

Image
Doing my best in handling the tight bends...

Image
You're not exploring if you don't take sidepaths...

Image
Image
Which looked kinda funny.

Image
That's... a bit of a bummer.

Image
And trying to turn it didn't help.

Image
Photobombing like a boss!

Image
Back up to the main road again. Never tell a Volvo he can't. He will give everything.

Image
Back en route!

Image
How to piss of a trucker? Throw your Beemer in front of him when he approaches you with 80 km/h...

Image
Ah well, let's just drive on to Dijon, and trade this small road for highways.

Today I have a great trip for you, but it's very, very long. So, this is part one. It's getting late :)
Tomorrow will be part two.

The destination is secret but you will get it soon enough...

Image
We're starting in Groningen (my hometown!), we're using the metallic red Ohaha Daf, and we're transporting 20 tonnes of Olive Oil. I only knew Groningen exported a lot of mustard. Hmm.

Image
The tulips and small farms and barns, Top notch Dutch :)

Image
Afsluitdijk! Which is great fun!

Image
At the end (and a bit further) of the Afsluitdijk we find the first ferry connection, we're going to Newcastle. That's a spoiler alert I guess!

Image
Sun sets on the ferry and the sun rises when we arrive.

Image
It's morning as we arrive at this pretty lake.

Image
Hairpins!

Image
The Iveco's rear cab reads "Schwertransport"... would it mean he lost his trailer?

Image
Yeah, we're heading into the deep north of the UK, cannot be less obvious were we're going.

Image
Roundabout in Inverness, and I noticed this bus braking júst in time. Pfew.

Image
Another nice bridge (Inverness)

Image
Beautiful British scenery.

Image
Probably every ProMods user knows this as a wallpaper :)

Image
We're in the tiny village of Thurso, in which the ferry departs.

Image
Standard procedure: honk at this Land Rover if you see it (SC59 AVP). He's been following me from around about Inverness.

Image
Night has fallen when we arrived in Tórshavn. We're not seeing much of the Faroer Islands though.

Image
Majestic indicators.

Image
Third and final ferry connection...

Image
Yes, folkes, we've arrived in the beautiful country of Iceland! Never made a trip to it, only from it. We're going to Reykjavík!

Image
Iceland doesn't have that many residents, still it was very busy in Seðisfjörður...

Image
One of many reasons to love Iceland is the beautiful scenery. A very snowy but sunny afternoon.

Image
Trucks having a hard time climbing in the hills.

Image
Urban environment, in which the Daf blends in perfectly with the houses.

Image
Beautiful!

Image
Speaking about beautiful: the sun started to set, on this beautiful coast line road. That left me with amazing pictures.

Image
Image
Image
Image

Image
I guess that's the sun entirely set... Let's find an overnight halt.

Image
After the hairpin and snowy bits, this smooth piece of straight tarmac was very much welcome. Not bothering driving in Iceland overnight.

Image
A beautiful sunny morning in the small village of Höfn.
Höfn is still a far, far end away from Reykjavík. 8 hours and 550 km to be exact.

Image
A look at the map didn't strongen my feelings... We're having a long drive in front of us! Luckily we can drive 90 km/h, which is nice.

Image
Nice bridge...

Image

So, it's getting late (IRL) here, I'm going to sleep, stay tuned for part two tomorrow!

Part two of my journey to Iceland. Sit-rep: Daf holds up well.

Image
We pick up the action at the exact middle point of Höfn and Vík. We start at this rocky terrain.

Image
The landscape flattens out but the beauty doesn't.

Image
Flat lake terrain. And when I say flat, I really mean flat.

Image
At the back the mountains we leave behind.

Image
Beautiful spot of open road.

Image
Arriving in Vík, a very small but cousy village.

Image
Done with mountains, on to Reykjavík.

Image
Spied somebody with a breakdown.

Image
Suburb of Reykjavík (sorry for the scary pedestrian photobomb)

Image
Another bridge.

Image
Saw a guy making a photo here, and it's no surprise, it looks terrific.

Image
After 750 km of Iceland we find ourself the first signs of a bigger road...

Image
But eventually...

Image
...we're in Reykjavík!

Image
Job done!

But... since the Daf is on Dutch plates, we will have to say goodbye to it. I've taken it to Keflavík to be transported back to The Netherlands.

Don't worry about me though, I've found a great deal on an Icelandic website!

Image
Tah dah! It's a 1995 MAN F2000. On Icelandic plates. Pretty complete. This will be my truck for driving around Iceland.

Image
First test: we're going to drive back to Keflavík to transport... itself! A MAN tower towing a MAN towtruck tower. Yes.

Image
Look at this for a luxury interior! Well OK, it's not top for 2015 standards, but it has cruise control and a working satnav! Plus a package of cigarettes. But I don't smoke.

Image
See? Iceland does have "highways".

Image
Though they're not in plenty.

Image
And that is job done for the little MAN!

Stay tuned for more adventures of the small but brave black MAN!
