Today we’re off on a trip along the southernmost roads in Ireland.

Image
We started off in Rosslare and driving north towards Wexford.

Image
The region is pretty.

Image
ProMods have a palatial villa there.

Image
Here we are arriving in Wexford.

Image
It’s a nice place, and the evening was drawing in, so after delivering the cargo we spent the night there.

Image
A thunderstorm woke me in the early morning.

Image
Image
The hotel was shaking and I couldn’t get any sleep, so decided to skip breakfast and go and look for a job to do.

Image
Image
Here we are leaving Wexford – still in the storm – with what appears to be a European version of a frac tank.

Image
Image
We were making good progress towards Dublin when the weather finally started to clear up.

Image
Image
Nice scenery towns on the rocky road to Dublin.

Image
Outskirts of Dublin.

Image
Image

Image
Having traversed the outskirts of the Irish capital we headed west for Limerick.

Image
Image
Here’s Limerick.

Image
Image
Image
Our destination was Galway, though, so we just passed through…

Image
Image
Image
…and eventually arrived at the businesslike city of Galway.
That’s it for today!

Hey there... Utah's out, but I don't have it so I've got the time to post these nice shots from Ireland. Hooray!
Today we're travelling through Dublin, having a final look at Wales and finishing off at Manchester.

Image

Galway. Black gas cylinders?? ! This guy looks like he just sprayed them illegally and is now scooting off before the fuzz arrive.

Image

Image

We spent the night here at a car park below the winking lights of the cranes.

Image

In the early morning we left town with a familiar load.

Image

Destination: Manchester, via Dublin.

Image

Image

Image

Approaching Dublin.

Image

Image

Where's my broomstick?

Image

The outskirts of Dublin are awesome.

Image

Here's the city itself. That needle looks pretty sharp. A relic from Dublin's WWI anti-Zeppelin defenses, I believe.

Image

Just love that colour.

Image

Back at Holyhead again. This tanker overshot the turn and spent a good while trying to adjust its angle so as to get back on track. I like it when that happens, it's not really equivalent to human behaviour but it does give the impression that the AI really are 'alive' and not just running on invisible rails.

Image

Angelsey once more.

Image

The Menai Strait bridge... nice detailing on the concrete.

Image

A brief jaunt along north Wales followed.

Image

Image

Love the local loco.

Image

And it's farewell to Wales, time for a last few shots of England.

Image

New ProMods junctions near Manchester.

Image

Rural dwellings.

Image

Typical vanilla industry.

Image

Got a nice angle on the Manchester skyline here.

Image

Just leaving the city this imbecile with a caravan cut in front of me and I only just avoided both it and the barrier. I thought I was in the real world for a moment.

Image

Another new PM junction...

Au revoir for now!!

It's the weekend, and here's a final couple of shots from England before we head back into Ireland for a last couple of sets...

Image
Nice ProMods junction building near Manchester. That's the jerk with the caravan.

Image

Image

Image

Heading north to Heysham.

Image

Heysham. A last look at English soil from the ferry.

Image

Image

Belfast once again.

Image

Driving down to Dublin.

Image

Image

Image

Approaching Dublin for the last time.

Image

Heading into town for a cargo.

Image

Image

What that is I do not know, but I'm taking it to Galway.

Image

Lots of greenery. Well, it's Ireland, the Emerald Isle.

Image

Image

Cargo dropped off in Galway. Time to pick up a new one, which we'll be taking to Oban in Scotland!

Image

I was hoping to pick up a trailer full of logs so I could make a "joke" about cabers or something, but all they had for me was this mouldy old yacht.

Image

Actually, it's a pretty cool yacht. And a heavy cargo I can feel good about hauling.

Image

Moving up the west coast of Ireland to Sligo.

Image

Is that... a leprechaun?

Image

Approaching Sligo.

Image

Landscape around Sligo.

Image

Sligo housing.

Image

Image

Leaving Sligo for Enniskillen in N. Ireland.

Back soon I hope... we're off to Scotland next time! Cheers!

Today we're leaving Ireland and driving up north towards Oban in Scotland - a very nice journey!

Image

Just out of Sligo and on the way to Enniskillen.

Image

Crossing the border into Northern Ireland.

Image

Enniskillen.

Image

Image

Omagh.

Image

From Omagh to Belfast.

Image

Image

Image

A final view of Belfast. Time for the last leg within Ireland - a short hop to the port of Larne.

Image

Larne.

Image

Image

Image

From Larne we'll take the ferry...

Image

...over to Cairnryan. This is one of the places in Scotland which already features in my previous thread, so we'll skip through the trip quite quickly.

Image

Welcome to Scotland!

Image

Image

Heading towards Glasgow.

Image

Image

A Scottish sunset this time.

Image

After spending the night in Glasgow we set off for Oban.

Image

Many months ago in the old thread I posted a picture of this spot and wrote of how tempted I was to take the route to Inverness instead of sticking to the vanilla map. Now we are finally actually taking this route. I've never seen PM Scotland so definitely looking forward to it.

Image

View of Glasgow.

Image

New lands!!!

Image

Image

Looking really nice.

Image

Cheers till next time!!

Our journey into greenest Scotland continues...

Image

A wee cottage on the road to Oban.

Image

Tranquil waters.

Image

Here's Oban. Finally we can deliver this yacht. Hope it carries its owner safely over many leagues...

Image

The Scottish seaside - very bracing.

Image

A last shacht with the yacht.

Image

Let's make gravelcastles!

Image

Off we go again, taking the scenic route to Aberdeen.

Image

That's one narrow bridge!

Image

On the way to Fort William.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Here's Fort William.

Image

Image

Next stop is the scenery town of Kingussie.

Image

Here is the said town. Next shall be the oddly named scenery town of Keith.

Image

Image

Image

The road to Keith is pretty nice.

Image

A beautiful sunset appeared, right on cue.

Image

Image

Alright Keef!

Image

Aberdeen by nightfall or bust!

That's it for today, hope you enjoyed!
