With update 1.32 finally released, I wanted to go on a big trip with my own trailer not across but around Europe. It starts here. I used the DRM-free leagcy edition of the game up to Part 32
Part 0.1: Motorbikes from Taranto(I) to Ancona(I)
An average length trip of 500km, earning about €31,000.
Image
Leaving Taranto at 18:23, Auto di Alonso trailer matches my Scania's livery quite well.
Image
Leaving Taranto, the polizia and carabinieri have caught up with this street racer on the opposite carriageway (19:00).
Image
Driving into the sunset just after Bari (20:00).
Image
Roadworks on the E55 at night (22:09).
Image
Arrived at Ancona (01:04).
Image
A good first trip, navigation was easy and the route was enjoyable, Bari seemed like an interesting city to go back to and there were a few tunnels to break up the darkness of the night.

Part 0.3: Liver Paste from Roma(I) to Livorno(I)
A short trip of 370km mostly up the A1. Earning about €15,000.
Image
Leaving Roma at 18:44.
Image
Sunset as I join the A1.
Image
Heavy traffic and fields along the A1.
Image
At a service station to get some more diesel.
Image
A very tight turn in Livorno.
Image
At the depot by 00:21.
Image
Not the most exciting journey, but it's a good starting point for the next trip, where we will be leaving Italy!

A really nice route into Austria and a fitting end to what I'm now going to call the prologue - I'll see you in 1.32!

I've updated Promods and I'm ready to go. I've had to buy 163 new trailers for my company and they're all in the new livery and ready to go. I can't wait! :D

And it's raining...

Anyway, the big trip will probably start tommorrow, from Portsmouth because that's where I am right now. I'll head into France and see what happens then.

It's about midday on Saturday week 1, trip info reset, truck & trailer serviced, ready to go...

Part 1: Used car batteries from Portsmouth(GB) to Rennes(F)
A short trip of 375km to start the journey, earning €10,000.
Image
Loaded at the BCP depot, I hit a bollard on the way here, so it's off to a good start!
Image
Portsmouth International Port (Note to Promods team that this isn't where the port is located) the Spinnaker Tower in the backgound the edge of the harbour.
Image
Arriving in Cherbourg at 20:30, nice to be back on the correct side of the road.
Image
As soon as I got onto the N Road it was time to leave again, scenic cut-through to Rennes.
Image
Night on the D973.
Image
Arriving at Lisette in Rennes.
The first step of the journey was completed. Lisette told me about an urgent delivery of flour to Brest, so it's an overnight trip to Brittany next. I hope they make good cakes with this flour because I'm not getting any sleep...
