OUCH!! That last hurdle I fell at proved a most unpleasant encounter. Still, back again to finish this tour, with 2 more sets to go : )

This next set is just me skanking around SE France, NW Italy and Switzerland mainly, visiting some roads I haven't seen for a long while. Probably because they were fairly dull. It is a rather vanilla area, but after wading through a mass of pictures I manage to put together a few to share. These were actually taken in April or May, but life got in the way... holidays, work, more holidays, more work...

Image

Well, we kick off in Torino and the acute defaultness is doing my head in a bit now, especially after spending a while drooling over screenshots from Oregon. Ah well, got to start somewhere, it gets better. A bit.

Image

Picked up this charming vehicle before heading off to Bern in this toothsome paintjob.

Image

Not the first time I've fallen asleep at the wheel playing this game. Last time I ended up in a river somewhere in Russia. Strange,
as I was driving through Denmark at the time. Da-dum-tsch!

This time I woke up in time to punch Esc, take a shot, and get back onto the road whistling innocently.

Image

Arrival in Bern.

Image

Image

New cargo, heading for Geneva.

Image

Must have been a bit "quiet", that route, as the next decent shot is from Lyon, which has some cool structures.

Image

Off to Dijon.

Image

Guess I didn't find much of note in Dijon because here we are hauling kitkats to Reims.

Image

Well, it was summer, so why not post at least one shot of those ubiquitous sunflowers.

Image

Gotta love a pylon shot.

Image

They call me mellow yellow - quite rightly. Off from Reims back to Basel again.

Image

Countryside fairly varied on this route.

Image

Still heading for Basel.

Image

Got there at nightfall.

Image

Basel to Bern.

Image

Last part of the trip - Bern to Milan.

Image

Milan. One more set to go and we will have come to the end of this tour, and this thread....

Thanks for the comments above!!

Cheers!

Well, here we are finally... the last set from this tour focusing on the scenery of the base ETS2 map, with Promods, Grimes weather mods and Jazzycat's stuff. It's been a great journey...

Image

I have a new monitor... and a nice red Scania.

Image

Setting off from Milan to find something to haul.

Image

Gotcha.

Image

Heading for Munich through the Alps via Vaduz. It's a spectacular route.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Munich reached.

Image

Image

Now for the last stretch back to the place it all started - Berlin.

Image

But first we're going to need to find a rest stop. Yaawwwwwnnnn.

Image

Not a good place to get some zzzzz...

Image

Ah, at last!

Image

Off we go, bright and early, zooming north through the heart of Germany.

Image

Glorious scenery.

Image

Image

Image

Not stopping this time. Looks like quite a party, though.

Image

Here we are... just outside Berlin.

Image

One whole year ago we were passing through here with a cargo of lambs' stomachs and a forklift grafted onto our butt.
How time has flown...

Image

The smell of summer flowers wafts into the cab... thank you to all those who have made ETS2 such an enjoyable and relaxing game...

Image

...and to the people who have found the time to browse through and comment on this thread.

Cheers!!!
