Re: Background map update - discussion
The problem with the scale of the UK is that the way this is done is "hard-coded". What it basically does is this: if you turn it on, it will scale every sector north and west of sector -0009-0003 (if I recall correctly) to 1:15, no matter how far west or north these sectors are. We can't ...

Re: Background map update - discussion
In another topic I asked for where to find the new projection parameters from SCS, but didn't get any answer, so then I asked Vøytek and have since got an answer from him! Maybe it's because we honestly don't have any exact parameters, so let me explain the methods we used. It turns out that the ma...

Re: Background map update - discussion
The best helmsmen are standing ashore... It's easy to claim that you know better how to run things in this team, but it's not that easy. You see, ProMods is more kind of a big map modders alliance, some map mods have been annexed by us. We can help each other out and we have one big project we cont...

Re: Background map update - discussion
We have changed the background so it mostly lines up with SCS's background again, save for some added countries, a scaled UK (due to hard-coded limitations), and some minor borders we had to re-adjust. The geometry along the Adriatic coast and in the far north of the map was a bit problematic, but w...

Re: 2 questions: editing a DLC and saving sectors
You could work in a separate map, as if it were a stand-alone map. You just need to copy the sectors over before you start and edit that small part of the map instead. I do this a lot, where I isolate an area with just one, two or four neighbouring sectors. When you're done, you can copy the sectors...

Re: Development on version 2.x (Benelux Rebuilding Project)
Here are a couple of suggestions if there would come an update: - Make Gent a city, its a major city in Flanders. - A new highway opened recently A11, from Brugge to Knokke, IRL it is accessable from E403 coming from Kortrijk through the ring of Brugge R30. These two suggestions don't fit. The map ...

Re: Development on version 2.x (Black Sea Merge)
Weird that SCS didn't do roads from Pernik to Plovdiv and from Burgas to Istanbul... Hopefully promods team will fix that :D Oh, there are logical reasons for that: 1. Pernik and Sofia are much closer together in real life than the game suggests. Any road going from Pernik to Plovdiv either takes a...

Re: Invisible Wall MAASTUNNEL the Netherlands
In de volgende patch zal een fix komen; ik heb een parkeerplaats verwisselt met de garage, zodat de garage niet meer boven de tunnel zit. Daarmee is de hoofdoorzaak van de kaart.
