Re: Public beta Ets2 V1.22
Thrilled to see there's now a modifiable traffic multiplier in the game. Will 1.99 see for example Iceland having lower traffic rates now? And maybe higher traffic rates in critical motorway interchanges? The inability to create realistic traffic simulation has been in my mind the biggest immersion ...

Re: Development on version 2.x (Iberian Peninsula Project)
The realism on those signs is breathtaking. The scope of this project has become so intense!

Re: ProMods Roadhouse (free topic)
I'd encourage everyone to check out Slavoj Zizek's http://www.lrb.co.uk/2015/09/09/slavoj-zizek/the-non-existence-of-norway article about the refugee crisis. There's ways to handle this without being reactionary and without overloading our security infrastructure like we are now. Do not go crawling ...

Re: ProMods Roadhouse (free topic)
I mean they paid for the licenses of all the truck manufacturers, which surely can't be exponentially cheaper than tire manufacturers. I thought that was the point of paintjob DLCs, to support SCS so that they don't have to charge for updates to the base game. They have previously stated their inten...

Excited to hear about your appointment mate. It'll probably take the guys some time to get to Portugal, so take all the time you need. I'm sure you'll make the country shine.

Re: United Kingdom
And I don't think any large long-distance trucks go through Westminster! Not downtown, but in the areas north of Hyde Park where I live, yeah, you see some trucks. Most are DAF LF, but every now and then you get lucky, and I did see an XF once. :) Besides, there are buses aplenty, and when SCS rele...

Re: Development on version 2.x (France edition)
Also I think that SCS' reason for including that country road over the A1, that it is necessary to keep a mixture between motorways and roads, is invalidated by Promods, which adds so many country roads to the map all over the place and therefore balances the addition of more motorways. Including th...

Re: Development on version 2.x (Benelux Rebuilding Project)
As a demontration of the scale problem: from the ring of rebuilt Brussels, you can see to the Antwerpen ring. Would it be possible to put an opacity barrier between them? I know SCS did stuff like this in Norway to prevent you seeing stuff coming out of mountains that you shouldn't be able to see, ...

Re: United Kingdom
If you're considering a true 'rebuild' of the UK, I wonder if its worth rebuilding it in the same scale as the rest of the map? I know that means less space to fit things in, but its definitely noticeable when you cross back to the UK, how much longer it takes to do the same distance as the rest of...
